How the battery rebate is tiered

Since 1 May 2026 the first 14 kWh of usable capacity gets the full rate, each kWh from 14 to 28 gets 60%, and each kWh from 28 to 50 gets 15%. Batteries under 5 kWh aren't eligible. A battery sized to your evening use usually gets the best rebate per dollar.

The rebate is set by the install date, not the date you sign. A battery signed in December but installed in January gets the lower 2027 rate.
