Solar and battery rebates in 2026
Two federal programs apply everywhere in Australia. The solar rebate is paid as small-scale technology certificates (STCs) that your system creates. The Cheaper Home Batteries Program uses the same certificates for batteries. Both come off your installer's price as a discount.
